Loved everything about this. The scenery, camera, atmosphere, light. The scary dude with them long fingers. I dig vampire mystery since early childhood and this brought me back to that comfy Pyjamas horror. This movie is a respectful Hommage to the 1920s original without being cheap or over the top. The only thing that’s missing are some bats.

What sums up this epic movie is its uneasy atmosphere from start to finish. The everlasting thread of total nuclear destruction of the planet is accompanying the whole play in the background, while the interpersonal and political relations are greatly staged in front. What a cast. I honestly had a hard time following the conversations here and there and in all it got a bit long, I definitely need some subtitles for the rewatch.
