Yahya Abdul-Mateen as Black Manta was honestly the highlight; sometimes I want villains to be petty just for the sake of it with ridiculous notions in how they act that go so far it's stupid. I was so scared he was going to let Arthur pull him up and forgive him or something, but nope, doesn't care. We need more of that in movies nowadays. On the topic of villains, I swear the most liquid I saw in this movie was from Guinness, almost Transformers: Age of Extinction level of product placement.

Bong Joon-ho cooked once again. I got live-action Studio Ghibli vibes from this one, but maybe that's just me. It felt very reminiscent of Okja in parts and remained funny throughout, but can someone tell me how Mickey is pulling everybody even when he's a sniffling freak? I get it's Robert Pattinson, but like chill, literally got someone wanting to split between them, and what about Mickey? He deserved better, and Mickey as well, including Mickey. I can't forget Mickey.

"Where are you going, so full of hope? THERE IS NO HOPE!"

Dementus, you mad lad, this movie not only heightened but soared above its predecessor to me. Perfect balance between true madness and heartstricken somber. Everybody does a great job in portraying the chaos of this world, with Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth bringing to me their greatest performances, each with such nuance. It contains the savagery and spectacular showcases of destruction. I can go on about this movie, but I don't think I have it in me to make it epic.
