  everyone that’s calling this an american epic is absolutely correct. i have a lot of thoughts, all about as big as this movie, so i’ll spare you all but the main word that’s been bouncing around my noggin is “monumental”. if the academy actually cared about the future of the art form, this or nickel boys would’ve taken it home. but thats neither here nor there i guess. anyways. i was literally giddy when the intermission screen came up. bring back intermissions!! i love movies. please see the brutalist.
