The Zone of Interest 2023
Realizing how much of a sucker I am for good sound design, the few times there's music you can never tell when it's going to stop, and otherwise the noise is just of the goings on, makes it a lot more real/raw imo. The beginning half is really interesting because it could easily just be a slice of life, with mere inklings of Nazi Germany, but as it progresses it becomes more and more overt and unavoidable. And the uncertainty of it all, although we as viewers know the overall outcome, is very well done. Also, the colour grading is very well done imo.
