First watch. I think I need to rewatch it.
Some parts of the movie disoriented me: the CGs, the diegetic Nirvana song, the dialogues, the early jungle scenes. It also took me a while to get into it because I wasn’t expecting Daniel Craig to be playing such a cringey—and at a first glance, pathetic—character. And that was partly because I viewed his desire, for the most run of the movie, as just lust. But the yage scene and the epilogue hit me hard, and made me reframe that.
So yea, I need to rewatch it.
