Beautiful Thing 1996
Undoubtedly a very sweet film, one that is rich in diverse characters and unique relationships that are both charming and flawed. Accompanied by a convincing backdrop, the result is a film that feels wonderfully genuine despite struggling with minor structural faults and some subpar acting.
Personally, I wished that the blossoming romance between the two main characters was a little more drawn out. The dramatic shifts in their relationship felt a little rushed which unfortunately left significant moments of the story…
