Barry Lyndon 1975
Barry Lyndon is the story of the rise an fall of a very ambitious young Irishman, who although has charming good looks and character persuade many women throughout Europe, it also causes his ego to grow rapidly and with that comes more enemies particularly among men young and old. Although I initially rooted for Barry, as the story went on I grew more disillusioned with him as a whole. Kubrick does an amazing job especially with his candle scenes, it really makes me feel like I’m back in the 18th century.
