All Quiet on the Western Front 2022
WW1 movies or rather that particular war is underrepresented in media, and i feel that this movie does justice in portraying the brutality of the particular war it aims to highlight. The cinematography is beautiful and there was clear consideration in how the movie wanted you to feel. Movies like saving private ryan are great, but they only highlight the heroism of war, not the desperation, something i find this movie heavily emphasized.

Its a movie that reels you in with it’s great acting and story, but doesn’t take itself too seriously whilst still keeping you invested. The beauty of this film to me lies in the fact that it is just so damn rewatchable, and every time you do end up watching it, you’ll always find yourself enjoying it.
