It’s more inside out! It uses the benefits of being a sequel well, interacting with the established world in a fun and fresh spin. The cast being so big is probably its biggest issue, the movie tries to further develop the secondary emotions from the first movie, while also introducing 4 more nuanced emotions, which doesn’t let either group shine as well as they could. That being said, the movie’s also got higher highs than the first one, so it evens out 🫡

Madame Web 2024
Madame Webb is an oppressively unappealing movie. There are so few good qualities that are wholly incapable of redeeming the bland, cookie cutter script and first-take quality of acting. I’m struggling to point to any specific examples of badness, because it was so consistently unimpressive that it all blends together in a mush that isn’t even brave enough to be unique in its badness so that we could laugh at the absurdity.
