A Boy and His Dog 1975
I longed for a dog as a child. My parents went through several cycles of acquiring a dog for me, then giving it away within a year or so. I would read the AKC book of dog breeds every night and fantasize about the furry friends who were forever out of reach.
Looking for any canine outlet I could find, I rented this VHS from a grocery store when I was in 4th grade. Sadly, the tape had been damaged - it was all static and fuzzy lines. And so I went on, a boy without his dog.
