There is a good movie somewhere in here. Through this film Kashyap gets his audience to confront the reality of Indian society - which is, in a word, ugly. Heroic cops are really just petty. Families - once the basic unit of the Indian social fabric - are now broken. Children are pawns in a game and sold as commodities.
