Perfect balance of drama and hard racing. Enough off-track drama to develop a thrilling plot whilst the production and editing during the race scenes led to hair-raising, high octane moments for a racing fan like myself.
Bale and Damon with subtle, but nevertheless great performances
not sure how this film is generally perceived to be honest but personally, I haven’t heard many people talk about it when they should be!
river styx scene was weird af. Efron actually impressive but the pacing was not. Incredible real life story but didn’t feel this film did it justice.

visually striking. the warm colour palette and grade perfectly contrast the fundamental bitter lonliness of theodore.
despite being ten years old, the film seems remarkably relevant with theodore and samantha’s relationship seeming like a real-life possibility within the NEXT ten years.
despite being tasked with communicating much of the film’s essence by himself, pheonix as twombley is subtle, but utterly captivating, whilst amy adams’ and scarlett johanson’s strong supporting performances bring the story together
