  Gotta see it again, but for now:
  - best opening of all time
  - perfect casting (Adrien Brody is László Tóth)
  - intermission was cool
  - felt shorter than Nosferatu
  - don't really care about the "ai" stuff
  - 4 star 5 star movie, should such a thing exist

  Love how Baker emphasizes cuts by changing ambient sounds. Howling snow outside suddenly muffled because we’re now in a car. Maybe that’s just what a cut is but when Baker does it it’s special i.e. my brain likes it. Really good 👍

  Ridley has done the Derelict sequence not twice but three whole times now. Somehow more of a slog than Prometheus while also failing to expand on the only interesting parts of the movie like Shaw’s ending and the engineers. If Prometheus has to give up the mystery of the original movie, fine, but it sucks to then leave it further unexplained. Especially given David’s weird 40 second story dump that “connects” Prometheus and Covenant. Why not have Covenant be entirely…
