Probably the best rom-com satire I've seen since Not Another Teen Movie. A bit of fun gore, some good laughs. The acting and cinematography feels about CW-level, but it mostly fits for what this is. Manages to be a better holiday slasher than quite a few others.

Great casting - Cory Michael Smith is an incredible Chevy Chase. I will watch Rachel Sennott do anything. Pacing is tight and frantic and aptly makes you feel like the show is held together by strings. It feels pretty overdramatized, in part because the story it's telling isn't all that strong on its own. It's also not quite as funny as I'd hoped for a movie about Saturday Night Live - not devoid of laughs or anything, but they're spread apart. But it still has a fair amount of good pieces.

Can easily see how this kickstarted Guy Ritchie's career. Generally, this is a smartly written movie. The dialogue's not always brilliant, but it's a really well-crafted story that comes together perfectly. Every thread is tied up, and it still manages to offer some laugh-out-loud surprises even as you begin to think you can expect where things are going. The film still works as a story about violent criminals despite much of…

This is a very clever film centered on three fantastic performances: Kim Min-hee as Hideko the Japanese heiress, Kim Tae-ri as Sook-hee the pickpocket, and Ha Jung-woo as the con artist Count Fujiwara. All of them are captivating to watch in their own ways, and it's always interesting to dig deeper into their stories and learn what's driving their thought processes throughout the increasingly complex plot. Cho Jin-woong also has some…
