  Today Blumhouse would be like “Hm I think the killer needs a backstory.” I like how there is no backstory. I would’ve liked the killer to reveal his face a little later but it doesn’t matter that much. Very tense and finds ways to stay mostly interesting. Flanagan has definitely mastered his craft more since this film, but that doesn’t diminish that this film is still good. Kate Siegel is a talented actress but I personally cannot wait for her…

  I’m so torn because on one hand I had so much fun and was genuinely laughing. However, on the other hand I know this isn’t a good film and is insensitive on multiple fronts.
