This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This was excellent. Tom Cruise is so good at making douchebag characters captivating.
But ending sequence and needle drop sucked, wtf what was that, like out of a different movie. Not in keeping with the movie at all and took a lot of meaning out of what came before.

Teen grief drama which escalates into a fairly brutal psychological horror. Strong grasp of its relationship dynamics and played on them heavily for tension. Also nice to have Australianisms in the dialogue which weren't overplayed or delivered with a cringy self-awareness.
