  doesnt work for me bc erasing ripleys queerness completely changes his character and why the things that happen happen, but compared to the 1999 film, its good that they make a point in establishing that hes poor so the money becomes a reason why, though doing it to have marge for himself... just no... i say no to hetpaganda

  hating urself doesnt excuse u from being a shitty person. he spent the entire (unnecessary long ass) movie feeling sorry of his selfish ass and never really felt the weight of his actions on others til the end. meanwhile everything shouko did was for others sake and didnt hesitate to apologize
  the bullying and suicide themes were treated so lightly and it even felt like a joke to me as if it was from the perspective of someone who didnt knew shit bout it and thinks mental health is just being sad emo ?? i hate it
