A Man Called Otto 2022
An absolutely charming adaptation of the original book, and a very good localization of the story from Sweden to America. Tom Hanks does a perfect job of characterizing Otto as a curmudgeon slowly regaining his heart, and Mariana Treviño and Mack Bayda played their roles superbly as well.

Dante's Peak 1997
An excellent disaster film (and definitely the best disaster film about a volcano released in 1997) that is marred solely by the least fitting use of the Wilhelm Scream in cinematic history.

The Burning Sea 2021
While nothing outstanding and very much not breaking new ground, this is still a solid disaster film. Compared to its predecessors, The Wave and The Quake, The Burning Sea (oh god, is this the "The" trilogy?) is a much lower spectacle disaster and a much more personal distress, and an accordingly much smaller body count. It's a good watch if you enjoy disaster films or character dramas, but it's more of a rainy day movie than a must-see.
