David is my favorite director- I am sad that he is gone but grateful for the work he led behind.

Nosferatu 2024
Having just saw the original 1922 film only a few months ago- I was eager to see how Eggers would tackle this silent film of a seemingly different era. He does what many *try* to do with remakes or adaptations, he adds to it- layers it with meaning while utilizing historical context to update Orlok to the modern eyes. Simply fantastic- hopefully grabs a Best Director nod at least for this… Eggers is in his prime.
