I’m just gonna hop on my soapbox for a minute. To say the absolute least, the racial politics are well meaning but certainly off base. It’s not operating on The Help/Green Book level of outright insidious, but it’s cringe inducing. Tracy goes to detention and starts dancing with the Black kids and they’re like “wow you’re one of us”. And then when she wants to protest, Queen Latifah is like “Tracy you’re sooooo brave omg.” Then Tracy escalates the protest…

-I’m so sick of realistic acting and irony poisoned pop culture. Let’s start making intensely melodramatic movies like this again.
-I’ve always wanted to throw an 80’s opulence themed party because the aesthetic is so mesmerizing to me, and Scarface just put this on the fast track
-why is “say hello to my little friend” more iconic than “you need people like me”?
-what contractor would make the immediate area around the bathtub carpet? It’s gonna mold!
-Michelle Pfeiffer most beautiful woman ever?
