Cannibal Holocaust 1980
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The movie has nice music, great gore and characters written so well, it makes me hate them. Then there are the scenes that involve brutalized and murdered animals. These scenes have next to no purpose in driving the story forward, except for maybe the pig. Even in the movie it was stated, that the pig served as food for the tribe and by killing it, the journalists robbed the tribe of their food, giving them even more reason to hate said journalists. But then again, everything else these dudes did was already cruel enough, so even the pig's death is very much unnecessary.

Ghostland 2018
Having Marylin Manson, H.P. Lovecraft and Judge Holden in one movie is insane. Too bad that the story has to be frequently interrupted by jumpscares. For the first half I totally get it, but also turning the second half into a jumpscare fest? Still I like the sparsely placed music, it is as well done as in Martyrs.
