Automania 2024
A fun and authentic “roadmovie” highlighting the struggles with and fascination of our car-centric society. The documentary manages to portray the different, more extreme views on this subject well, yet somehow misses to adress the key issue at hand: the middle. Answering the question on why a large proportion of society still uses the car, even though they are not “car-people” would have been interesting. The movie also doesn’t really provide an answer to his question, the conclusion in form of a spatial planning concept is over simplified in my opinion.
