Red Rocket 2021
Wow! Sean Baker’s best work! What a lead performance! What a daring portrayal of grooming and the current state of America! It could have been longer and I wish it weren’t so held back by its low budget. What a script! I am in awe of this film, Sean Baker and indie cinema!

Very mid-tier Miyazaki film. Probably the least interesting of his scripts with one-note and uneventful characters. It’s very much like Spirited away with a kid character trying to save his parent while encountering magical beings that symbolise grand-scale aspects of humanity.
