Corsage 2022
This was actually VERY boring. It was one of my most anticipated theatre flicks since I missed it in Cannes last year, but I just don’t feel like this movie added anything to the whole “one must age whether we like it or not” theme. The movie visually looked GORGEOUS but even when it came to the acting I feel like the script didn’t give them much to work with tbh. Disappointed Kroeber than anything (also can we NOW have a real conversations about The Favorite and it’s impact? Because Corsage is def the dull, equally as beautiful step sister of that movie).

I really fucked with this! Maybe a bit on the pretentious side but a lot of the comedic moments landed for me and the acting was great (Adam Driver step on my neck). Def got more out of this than most other people I’m seeing haha

Whew, baby, this one is gonna piss some people off! I think this movie was everything the filmmakers wanted it to be. First and foremost after the first 15 minutes you clearly get the point that this is an ART film. Very much not commercial and they don’t play by that set of rules.
I do have to say that the cinematography in this movie was some of the best I’ve ever seen. The style was so fucking razor sharp…
