almost instantly, i knew this movie was going to be unlike most other marvel movies. while i appreciate some comedy included appropriately (Ant-Man, GOTG) Thor’s character made a drastic switch from completely serious to wildly goofy—there was no gradual transition to a funnier character. while i love Thor’s use of comedy in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, it seemed as though the plot wasn’t nearly deep enough so they attempted to blow over it with boring jokes that did…

overall i gave this movie a 2 1/2 stars; i didn’t love the female lead (her fake accent was terrible), but tom holland never disappoints so it’s okay!!! the plot was interesting and had good potential but not believable and a lot of the scenes looked fake. i thought a good amount of comedy was used and i loved the way tom and mark wahlberg worked together. i look forward to seeing the next one but i hope it’s less unrealistic.
