The Watchers 2024
A beautiful captivating watch. It was intriguing and had a fun solve-the-mystery quality, which made me feel like I was there with them.
Not too scary, a good one for the mainstream audience and I liked the story.
My first reaction to the second half was a bit negative, but on reflection, I get why it was done.
The link to grief in horror right now is exhausting and wasn’t necessary in this film. It felt like padding and character development for the sake of it. It’s didn’t add anything and wasn’t integral to the plot.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
I’m not a huge fan of this type of movie, but there is no denying its beauty and visual strength.
First half started strong, but I got bored half way through and the parts of the narrative I was able to pick up, felt incredibly sad to me.
I don’t have a good history with enjoying movies from this director - even though I would like to, as the importance is not lost on me, but it it did feel a bit self indulgent at times.
Watch it for its gorgeous colour and banging soundtrack.
