this film has left me feeling conflicted, I felt that it fell short on an emotional level. The plot serves as a cautionary tale for women to release themselves to the toxic beauty standards that glorify youth and the self-destruction that comes with that. However the execution felt shallow, with the focus leaning on the horrifying visuals and less on the feminist issues at hand. Adore Demi Moore but sadly I didn’t find her performance very convincing, especially as the film went on.
