While it’s refreshing to see a modern take on dracula take the source material seriously, a bloated runtime and forgettable characters drag down what should be a tight scary vampire thriller. Carried by fun monster moments and a killer score, Last Voyage of the Demeter has room for improvement but certainly doesn’t suck. (Not counting blood of course)
The 7th entry of Tom Cruise’s incredibly consistent franchise manages to push even further. Not often do you see such a long running film franchise continuously produce solid films. Excluding mission impossible 2, this franchise is the exception.
