  UWS normcore to the extreme. Basically a long form advertisement for Starbucks, Visa, Barnes and Nobles and of course AOL. There a slight sweet nostalgia for the moment of protesting big box stores via local journalism but sorry to say that battle was already lost in 1998.

  Strange Days 1995

  saw it originally at the Ziegfeld (RIP) in 1995. Watching again almost 30 years later forgot how violently fucked up this movie predicts the manic anxious zeitgeist of the 2000s. Wish Bigalow, Cameron didn’t cop out (sorry) at the end with a rushed happy ending.
