Windy City Heat 2003
This is an interesting enough mental exercise in when is it okay to relentlessly bully someone. Everytime events seems to be increasingly contrived to make whatshisface look like a dick it is followed up quickly by him doing something particularly awful and my opinion is back to square one.
In the end I just concluded they're all dicks and that if we learn anything from the trump era its that we should stop giving screen time to idiots and bigots.

I always knew this was going to be a tough watch after suffering through Samurai Rebellion but I still found this a very trying two hours. Kobayashi has an static visual style which when combined with his languid pacing leaves me very disinterested in both his characters and his plots.
The film consists a number of stilted conversations intermingled with flashback and narration. They were particularly found of having conversations describing exactly what the audience had just seen. This is not only condescending but it adds to the considerable padding already on the films running time.
