Genuinely one of the best biopics I’ve seen in a long time, especially when it comes to musician-oriented films. I don’t believe I’ve been this engrossed and ensnared with a character since Joaquin Phoenix played Johnny Cash. Truly a wonderful performance by Timothée Chalamet.

On top of that, Edward Norton’s supporting role was amazing, it was one of the first films in what seems like a lifetime where he didn’t appear to over-act.

The direction and cinematography was impeccable, and I’m…

I will never forgive the universe for taking Heath Ledger from us so early.

This is just a comfort movie for me, and it’s unbelievable how rewatchable it is, over and over again. The cast is top tier, and the story is always just so lovely.

A man can change his stars.

This one didn’t grab me with the story the way that Spirited Away did, and it had a hard time keeping my attention during the lulls.

Overall, still enjoyable - absolutely beautiful art, and the scores of these films continue to earn them extra points.

I’m curious as I move my way through this collection if anything will grab me like Spirited Away; but Howl’s, in the end, didn’t wow me much.

First Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli film I’ve ever watched - yes, at 32 years old. I know.

Honestly, I’ve always been deterred by anime films, it’s always had to hit a very specific mark for me to be sucked in; and this film nailed it. There were some moments where it slowed down for me, but overall it was fun, heartfelt, and genuinely entertaining.

The imagination behind it is wonderful and the characters are so unique and intriguing. Can’t wait to continue with my Miyazaki education.
