Arguably the most valuable score in the history of good cinema. I hated how uncomfortable I was at some points which is a sign of perfect execution.

Better Man 2024
I would like to preface this manifesto by clarifying this was a great film. I really did love it. The cgi was so well done, story was engaging, songs were fun and organically embedded in the plot. There is one major flaw that I believe is the major disconnect for this film and audiences so imma rant here so I apologize in advance…

The ratings for this film show just how pompous The Letterboxd community is. What else do you want from this movie? It’s entertaining from start to finish, great production value, fantastic cast, and the mediocre writing is really the only downside. Hands down Ryan Reynolds best performance and the one that truly set off his career. Y’all are a bunch of armchair quarterbacks giving this film bad reviews. For shame.

This movie starts like a date where things are clicking and your anticipation is climbing and then ends like going to your date’s house and finding their human hair collection. Turn it off after minute 17 and you’ll have watched the best part of this movie.
