Yesss we love when Director Bong gets to make high budget romp! Gotta go rewatch The Host. Not familiar with the novel but you can certainly feel the slightly disjointed nature of adaptation. My other issue is that it does the thing films just do now where it needless cuts back to shit we just saw in case you are like on your phone while watching and are too dumb to remember falling down a hole or getting pushed up…

probably the best muppet movie, treasure island certainly in contention for that spot tho. good songs, i like the edit where the love interest song is cut honestly. its great stuff, one of the few times seeing Kermit's legs doesn't freak me out. not much to say, you love it i love it its the fuggin muppets and Michael Caine putting his full Michael Cainussy into it

This like probably just shot up to my top 5 immediately.
Saw this with 2 other trans women and said "yeah it be like that" like 5 times.
the thing is this movie denies itself subtly. it is slamming you head first into a mirror with the point. it also has almost no character development outside of the physical horrors. ITS SO GOOD.
