six years ago, joasia told me i should watch the three colors trilogy and to emotionally prepare myself for blue. i have been preparing for six years. stunning textures and layers. the highway tunnel shot at the beginning… damn.

continuing this week’s christianity program with andrei rublev who serves as a reminder to make use of our God-given talents. awful eng subtitles. whole chunks of dialogue lost. the aerial shots were my favorite—captured the vast, barren landscape with a dreamlike contrast. how brutal life was back then, the casual war, death, chaos. what did we live for? was religion the only entertainment? we take modernity for granted all the time. last scene was a great emotional release. much needed
