  Macbeth 2010

  Watched for classwork. Uninspired cinematography and the costume design could very well be a Halloween costume for a particularly dedicated friend group. I can’t judge as a Macbeth adaptation or a portrayal of the soviet era since I’m not knowledgeable enough about either so I’m only really reviewing it as a movie. I feel like this would hit if I had subtitles while watching (watched in a cinema) and read Macbeth so I’m not rating it since that’s kinda on me. I do have to watch this eventually. The ending is marginally better in every aspect as well

  watched for a class!! very immersive cinematography and screenplay. i've been in a very long movie slump and it was very easy to slip into. lots of scorsese bad man stuff in the vein of wows but better and funnier because it's a bunch of new yorkian italians. also jesus christ i know this guy had 2 kids with karen irl (this bum had another one too with a later wife) but how many does he have in this movie omfg

  even the cast couldnt save it... vapid commentary attempting to make fun of the rich somehow manages to endear the audience more to said rich people than the working class protagonist because it has nothing to say about anything except rich people have nice lives i guess? cinematography was nice but everything about this movie was disjointed. the cinematography, the editing, the screenplay. it's almost like it was made just so someone could screenshot it onto twitter.
