  Had me thinking about 2005’s The Comedians of Comedy—a little 1.75 hour documentary style stand-up comedy special shot on a camcorder Netflix produced back when it still mailed you DVDs. It followed Patton Oswalt, pre-Hangover Zach Galifianakis, Brian Posehn and Maria Bamford road tripping the States on tour, documenting their stage acts and behind the scenes antics, foibles and friendships. I can’t imagine it cost Netflix more than 10K in meal per diems and gas money and I probably watched…

  Deep Blue Sea 1999

  Over 25 years and a deluxe 4K/Blu-ray with three full audio commentaries by a critic, a writer, the director and Sam Jackson and still I haven’t been told why the hell Ronny Cox is in about 90 seconds of this movie—uncredited—sitting perfectly still in a chair without a single line of dialogue. Someone tell me why he was in this. What is the story? I deserve to know, it’s been long enough.
