It’s insane that antagonists like Grant’s Johnny have been portrayed in films since 1941 (and likely longer) and yet narcissists still operate under the guise of sympathetic losers, preying on victims freely. I’ve witnessed narcissistic abuse and Johnny’s behavior was shocking to see as it’s textbook emotional abuse. Fantastic film; great performances by Grant and Fontaine.
