Dawn of the Dead 1978
Genuinely astounding movie in my opinion. To create something like this that in retrospect seems to typical and “normal” is just evident of its impact.
Romero is a funny guy, because he repeatedly stated his movies weren’t political while “accidentally” making very strong and obvious statements about society.
On this watch I focused less on the sort of almost vaudevillian humour of the zombies repeating patterns and habits and more on the humans need to be incessant consumers of products…

I saw this in the DCA in Dundee. This movie was so bad, so genuinely boring and uninteresting that I started to look at the brick walls of the cinema and realised that I’ve never been in a cinema with brick walls before. That was the best part about seeing this.
Not a single good thing about it. It’s one of the worst most exposition filled pieces of shit. If I ever meet Elliot page I’m asking for my £10…
