Sophie Thatcher owned this thing. Jack Quaid was a little too convincing. The “jig is up” almost immediately, but I didn’t lose any anticipation throughout this clever, sci-fi/horror.

Kubo and the Two Strings 2016
Children’s movies can still have a coherent story structure, a flawed hero’s journey, and decent editing :( not Kubo though. Beautiful to look at.
