a could have been great movie, rooted in important messages, that sadly looks down on viewers, explaining through dialogue what has already been assessed by viewers through visual queues to make sure we understand it; has unnecessary scenes that work against the plot's main message in an almost ironic (and frankly boring) way, and extends itself by around 30min only to show us what seems like a fever dream that is completely removed from the rest of the film, even nullifying the impact of the body horror present in the rest of its runtime by ending the movie in a ridiculous comedic style
maybe the horror was the friends we made along the way?
It's easy to lose yourself among a sea of possibilities and could've-beens, as you always look ahead and try to figure out your own life, making sense of it from what came before. You always have a plan, but the plan only let's you find as much stability as you allow it to, and anything can throw you off the path you made for yourself.
