As I am a sailor which is often confused with a rowing, I found this film to be incredibly inspiring for my own athletic goals. I think that the development of the main character was super well done, and particularly interesting because his original motivation behind joining the rowing team was just because he was told he could make a bit of money. This then leads the viewer to finding out about his incredibly hard life and neglectful father, who we see reacting to his son at the olympics at the end of the film. Overall, I think the film was super uplifting and beautifully shot.

While I absolutely love the plot as well, I think the best part of the film was its ability to make the incredibly complex world of Dune seem real. This was achieved though incredible cinematography and possibly the best sound design I have ever heard. Overall, I think that the sound design and score is what made the film so impactful.

I also especially enjoy that despite following a main plot, there are also many vignettes, that examine different parts of food culture. I had never seen a film that had done this before, and I think it is a really interesting and hilarious way…
