It’s like that thing Jon Bon Jovi said - No man is an island.
A surprisingly poignant film about needing/finding community in uncomfortable ways. I love everyone’s performance in this but especially little Nick Hoult.This film is so New Labour it belongs in a museum. Interesting to see the seeds of the alienation that is so of *our* time/place taking root 25 years ago.

And there’s a whole 4/5 of the screen you’re not looking at! And it barely registers because you are straining to get a glimpse of Rossellini! That is Cinema!!
