    In many ways, there is much to admire about Oppenheimer, and it certainly comes across as one of Nolan’s most mature to date. The way it leans heavily upon the original text is admirable, and the inclusion of all the major (and even minor) players results in a historical accuracy and intellectual rigour which I have often criticised other films for lacking. The opening number (and whole first act) was pretty underwhelming, with the decision to use a recorded soundtrack (with poor miming) incredibly jarring.
