  Watched this with a friend in a packed, and i mean densely packed indie theatre. It was such a treat and experience that I almost immediately put it in my top ten this year (waited one day to deliberate)

  I have so many thoughts; it wraps up so carefully and feels like you just get overarching theme and what Shyamalan is saying. Dialogue is so, so, so rich. I think it's perfect in the characters always know their lines sorts. Music was fun, and just great to see Alison Pill and Hartnett carry at the end. It's a shame we used to get like 10 of these a year, now we maybe get 2.

  apparently it got controversial reception at Cannes and was pulled after less than a week in the states. but for what it is worth, people can see it now and so many more repressed films wearing their ideologies on their sleeves. especially when they are showing this amount of prescience.
