you’ve heard of thinly veiled metaphors and allusions, how about no veil. i really enjoyed how funny this was certainly, and appreciate how bong joon ho seems to be able to transcend genre now as long as he’s bashing capitalism. pattinson was just so so entertaining, i’m continually impressed by ruffalo, ackie took it to another level, and toni collette did the face (nice). well done. wasn’t perfect for sure but a slapstick comedy bong joon ho movie was quite the treat.
