The Seed of the Sacred Fig 2024
Amazing powerful film . It has one of the best, most haunting scenes I have ever seen in a film where one of the main characters is cleaning a wound. Even more amazing is that it was filmed in secret because of the Iranian regime's restrictions.

Disappointing, I read the book and loved it so I was looking forward to the film. The POV shots make the film hard to follow and annoying. I have heard POV shots increase empathy with the characters but I found the opposite was true for me. I have empathy more with characters when I can see from their facial expressions how they react to what is happening.
This film doesn't do justice to what is an important and powerful story. If you haven't read the book I highly recommend it.Translated from by
