  I could appreciate the artistry of the film, and was impressed by its opening act in the city, but agree with other reviews that critique the lack of focus. As a first-time viewer, my primary emotion was confusion at the absence of a coherent plot, and after a point, fatigue with its repeated attempts to top its own absurdity — it felt like Aster was just unscrupulously dumping all his free associations into a script.
