I think this was the only movie to ever make me cry.

They made really bad plot line decisions by having the movie follow the mother into silent hill when in the original game it was the father looking for his daughter and now it’s brief moments of the father looking for the mother, just a weird and unnecessary change. Also pyramid head makes no sense being in the movie lore wise. However this is genuinely one of the best movie adaptations of a video game ever (usually they’re terrible). The special effects are fantastic and the scenes of the “other world” really capture the vibe of the game.
