This has to be one of the cringiest films I’ve ever seen—so many awkward, over-the-top moments. That said, it’s still a good film, and there’s no denying it’s does build the suspense well.
It’s one of those films you wish you could watch again for the first time. The perfect mix of emotion, resonance, and a story that feels powerful without trying too hard.
I’m not usually a fan of emotional and romantic films but I can definitely understand why people rate this so highly.
“If you deliberately sabotage my band, I will fuck you like a pig! Now are you a rusher or a dragger?”
Great film with incredible energy. I love that it’s only an hour and 50 minutes—it keeps things tight and engaging. The film does a brilliant job of capturing Andrew’s raw passion for drumming and jazz, making every moment feel intense and purposeful.
Some great lines from J. K. Simmons’ too.
This is an incredible film that transforms a simple storyline into something deeply moving and thought-provoking. Al Pacino and Chris O’Donnell deliver outstanding performances, bringing their characters to life.
The film conveys powerful messages about integrity, preconceptions, and loyalty, all wrapped in a narrative that is both beautifully simple and masterfully executed.
Its impact is difficult to put into words, but it leaves a lasting impression.
