  there was no reason for this movie to be a musical (nobody in the cast could sing + adds nothing to the story + the songs were shit). zoe shouldn’t have won anything for this and karla shouldn’t have even been nominated. exploits the very real issue of missing people in mexico (it’s a FRENCH movie mind you) then doubles down and says “it could have been set anywhere”. just mess mess mess
